Soundmans Helper was established by engineer Dennis Moody as a way to address the many requests he receives from persons wanting to know about different recording techniques and audio tricks. Dennis has been an audio engineer in Hollywood for nearly 29 years. His work has taken him all over the world. He has worked with most of the top studio session players in the L.A. scene and has also worked at most of the major studios in town. His experience goes way back to the mid 1970's, recording many live sessions, including those for Motown Records, when recording sessions with real musicians were a daily occurance. And for many years, he has also been involved as a mixer for live musical theater and concerts. He shares with you here at Soundmans Helper many of the tricks and secrets he has picked up over the years. We offer informative but easy to understand "get started" guides so that you can soon be on your way to creating and developing your own unique sound style...
